Greetings and Salutations, Blog Readers! Today we are back with another Book Review, and we are back in the Mad Mick reviews!
As some of you may know, when the last review left off, I was eagerly awaiting the next in the series, and it came out…and I tore through it. And now I am desperate for the next one, even though I know I likely have a few months to wait. Sadly, that’s just how it goes when you love a book series and read as often and as quickly as I do.

I am soooo excited to read the next one, and that is because this book was likely my favorite of The Mad Mick series, thus far. Or at least one of the top three.
It was amazing.
Picking up where the last one left off, we now get to see Ricardo rebuilding the business, and we get to see the Mad Mick dress up and take on a more business persona.
Of course, he is still the Mad Mick, so we get to see lots of modifications to how he does things and how his clothing, even business attire, gets modified for his daily goings on.
We also get to see some action despite the start of the book leading you to believe there may not be…come on, it’s the Mad Mick, of course there will be explosions.
Fantastic explosions and detailed storytelling commence, and we get to enjoy an even bigger picture of the world at large and all the ways the government is trying to rebuild.
As usual, I do not want to spoil too much, but I am contemplating the idea of also doing book reviews on my YouTube channel, where I will give spoilers, so if that is something you are interested in, let me know, and be sure to subscribe to my channel (@AbbiGrasso).
But, as that I do not like writing out spoilers, let’s address some hit points, some key moments, that make this a great book. Aside from some death in the book, there is loads of excitement, storytelling, and espionage.
We get to meet the tech guru who is trying to become leader of whatever the country looks like in the future, and he hires Ricardo and Connor’s team to help him achieve his goals.
Of course, no good plan goes off without a hitch, and no good team is immune from traitors.
Exciting levels of drama are found, and the final action-packed chapters are exciting, full of “what’s going to happen” energy, and no small amount of emotional turmoil.
When all the chips are laid out, and all the betrayals are known, the story ends on a cautionary high note, with a hope for the future, but one that makes me, the reader, wonder if more drama is on the way.
Sure, in the end, the good guy seems to have won, but what is next? I am fortunate enough to be friends with the author of these books, and he has told me he is working the next Mad Mick book already…
I wonder where he will be taking it, and I can’t stop being terribly excited to find out.
I highly suggest using the downtime while he writes the 8th book to read the entire series, catch up with me, and join me in excited waiting for the next book.
Thanks for Reading,
Abbi
