Greetings and Salutations, Blog Readers!

Monday:
I did it again, but this week, I committed to waking up early! Last week, I happened to wake up early on a Monday (Check out that blog post for details) but basically, I happened to wake up early, imagined my life if I could wake up earlier every day, and here I am, in week two, doing it with more intentional energy.
So today I got up a little after 5, and got ready, and I was stretching by 5:30. My FitBit said I was tired, and had a readiness score of 1, out of 100, so I decided to take it easy, but after stretching for a bit, I went ahead and jumped on the stationary bike. I didn’t do my usual, falling just shy of 6 miles in 30 minutes, but, considering my body needed some rest, I figured this was a good compromise.
To make this interesting, in terms of blog updates, I am not only challenging myself to wake up early every day and work out, but I am also putting myself back on track for hydration- one gallon a day, and, I am going to be putting some more reading into my schedule, along with writing.

The new nonfiction book I am adding to my rotation is a book for writing, recommended to me by a writer I respect and admire. This same writer has helped light a fire under my ass regarding my writing, and I will be doing another blog post about that, so make sure you are following/subscribed to the blog so you don’t miss it. It’s definitely a MAJOR change in the way I view my writing.
So, day one is off to a good start, and I look forward to seeing how the rest of the week goes.
Tuesday:
Today it was a CHALLENGE to get out of bed. I slept TERRIBLY and had a very hard time getting any sleep. As you may recall from yesterday, I was not ready for an intense work out then, and not sleeping much didn’t help matters, but I still finally got up, stretched and got on the stationary bike. I did thirty minutes, just shy of 6 miles, but I still did something, and then went about my day.
I also marked time stamps on my gallon water bottle to make sure I stick to my hydration goals, and instead of coffee, I made green tea this morning. I am hoping to do more tea in my day to day to help with my health goals.
Not much to say about today, other than I didn’t sleep well, getting up was a challenge, and work has been hectic. I need to go grab lunch and do some chores during my lunch break, so I will leave this update here, in hopes of having time to read or write in the second half of my lunch break.
Till tomorrow-
Wednesday:
Once again, I didn’t sleep great, and, to make things worse, I woke up a few minutes early, still exhausted, and didn’t have enough time to get sleep to make up for it, so I laid there, miserable before getting out of bed.
It was hard to find the willpower to get out of bed, but the one thing that will always get me out of bed, even early, even if I am tired…
I had to pee.
So, I got up, did my morning routine, pulled my hair into a ponytail, and got to stretching. I stretched out and hopped on the cardio bike. I was a little thrown off this morning, days of not sleeping well are adding up, but I still hit 6 miles on my bike in thirty minutes, did a Duolingo lesson, and then went and made tea instead of coffee.
I am proud of my efforts, but I am definitely tired from it. Today is a massive day of time balancing, I have several things to do for my own development and goals, along with a busy as fuck day at work, so I can’t say much other than, hey, huzzah, I managed to actually get up again. I am starting to really feel healthier for my efforts.
More tomorrow
Thursday:

Well, It was hard to get out of bed, but mostly that is because I was comfortable.
I still got up, I did my work out, and I went about my day. I am starting to notice that it was easier to make other good choices during the day when I start out on the right foot by getting up early and working out.
I did just shy of 7 miles in thirty minutes, did a duolingo lesson, and read some of my book. I did make coffee over green tea today bc I wanted the extra boost, but, I am doing well.
I have been knocking more and more out in my day, which is good because between work and my own goals, I have a lot to accomplish on any given day.
So, it looks like this may just be my new permanent change, if I can manage to do it. I also an considering doing blogs like this where I write a little bit every day and make one big blog post- not sure yet, but it is something I am considering.
Subscribe/Follow the blog to find out if I do!
Till tomorrow (FRIDAY!)
Friday:
It was perhaps the hardest to get up today. It has been a VERY long week, and while it was finally Friday, it took all of my willpower to get up.
Thankfully, a semi full bladder assisted me.
My best tip I can think of for waking up early is a full bladder and will power to stay awake when you have to tend to said full bladder.
So once again I got up, and I stretched, and I worked out, and I drank water. Today I had green tea, which helps me not feel as heavy, and I am able to get more done. As proof of that, I had a large to do list for today and I am knocking it out line by line, getting so much done.
Work has been VERY busy, but I have managed to stay afloat with a clear head, and I was able to use my lunch break to knock so many items out on my to-do list.
I think this is a new habit I can commit to.
It’s hard, as some days the only thing that got me up was knowing the blog was holding me accountable, so I think I may keep doing these types of posts where I update a little bit every day to make a week of a daily blog that I can post the following week, at least until I can develop the habit.
It would be good to get back to my blogging roots of daily blogging.
Anyways, that’s that. I definitely suggest you try and get up early and work out and all the stuff you want to do to make your life what you want it to be- You never know, it may be just what you need.
